Leaving the house in chaos is not easy. But I'm slowly learning that there are more important things than having all the clean laundry folded on the shelves and all the duplo in a box. So when the dishes were done and the water tank and bag packs were in the car we decided to just leave.

It was a quick and easy drive through rolling hills and past green pastures with sheep and gumtrees. Driving past the majestic Grampians was magnificent, especially with the sun slowly setting and the pink winter sky appearing. The music in the car is loud and happy and we sing sing sing about food we don't like and going on holidays.

The Majestic Hotel where we are staying is majestic in how we are welcomed like kings and queens. We represent the majority of guests for tonight. Business is not easy at the moment in the motel industry in Horsham. How we love our motel room with pink bathroom, red neon outside and the instant coffee in the room. The best is yet to come.

In the empty restaurant which looks like an old fashioned living room stands an old drum kit. It catches our eyes immediately. Before we know it the doilies are falling from the tables because of U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday that Bud (CJ) starts to play within seconds after entry. The whole family joins in.
There is hardly time to eat the home made veggie soup and chips.

How we love to be on the road :-).
